我认为《雨伞》是一首瞒不错的歌。它的旋律优美，加上咏霖清晰的声音，更是锦上添花。
刚开始听会被它美妙的旋律吸引，但是听了这首歌几次后，会让我觉得好象少了些什么。。。
我听了听，想了想，才发现原来这首歌停留在渴望与迟疑的阶段。。。或者简单的说是单恋的阶段。。。
一个少女渴望爱情，却又保留疑虑，害怕被爱伤害而不敢去爱，最终让爱流失。就应为它停留在这阶段，让听者有一种空虚的感觉。。。
可能写词人还没谈过恋爱，或者还没尝试放胆去爱，所以才会写了这么空虚寂寞的歌曲。。。
但是旋律不错。。。加油！！！
In short, although this song is about longing for love, it left the listener feeling very lonely and empty...
just my shallowminded thoughts... |

hey peeps. sorry for not dropping in to say hi these few days. been pretty busy lately. in and out the hospital (luckily i am only accompanying someone there but enough said.) after one of my visits, came back switched on my com and switched on my fave playlist, and somehow i heard this song. perhaps its due to some recent occurings in my life, but this song portrayed a whole new meaning on that day. not sure if i am right or wrong but i am gonna put what i thought down.

ok, so the next part of the song is a reapeat of the above part, so i wont type them out again.
as follows would be my own interpretation of the song. i may be right, and i may be wrong, but the meaning is totally diff from what the writer wants to present. what i write may not be so nice to some. so please do not flame me for what i will be writing. comments are welcome but no flame please.

Hi people,I've been really busy these weeks too even if it's the June Holidays.Sorry.There's Monitors Training,Leadership Camp and loads of Leadership stuff in school.
I'm currently listening to the song 雨伞 Written By Dione Tan Sang By Our Teresa（曾咏零）.The Song is really pleasing to the ear but I don't understand the lyrics can someone explain it to me? |

haha..so long didn't listen to this song & u suddenly bring it up.
Anyway, after reading dungbrain's post, remind me of something.
This song is abt waiting for an uncertainty..And starting to lost hope. In the song, it is about love relationship. But it can also apply to other situations.
Recently, 2 of my relatives pass away bcos of cancer. Initially, the 2 relatives were brave and was hopeful they can overcome the demon. They went through the chemo treatment & other treatments prescribed bravely. Treatment was a torture but they did not give up hope. They waited and waited, waited for the treatment to take effect, but it didn't. I don't know if within them they have given up hope, but they are strong in front of us. They fought the battle. In my heart they have won the battle bcos they did not bow to the demon . They did not give up hope till the end. They have gone to a better place.
Well, having said that, there are many successful cases of people who survived cancer for many many years. So i think regardless of what happen in life, we must try our best, fight on, live life to the fullest. No fears! No regrets! |

hey charlene long time no see.
sorry to remind u of ur losses. my apologies.
yeah some stuff happened on my side and they are pretty stressful. suffering is bad but it sucks to see them in pain. and worse still u cant do anything.
some might say life is predestined, i dont know about that, but i dont think i care. but for my case, i dont want to depend on anything like an umbrella to warden anything off from me(no disrespect meant.) pain sucks , but i believe that one feels it only becuz he is weak. when one is numb to the pain, it means that he has become stronger.
oh and btw i like ur last line "fight on, live life to the fullest. no fear no regrets." but i dont think there is time to "try our best." only do or do not. trying is only an excuse for failure and a total waste of time. |

After knowing what the lyrics meant,It reminded me about something about love in my own class where these lovey dovey couple in my class were kissing when the teacher was teaching. |
