apart from noisy, the pics looks soft and a bit oof also.

She does not move a lot in the stage, can use AF-S and aim better, can help a lot.

af-s is a mode in Nikon dslr cameras. it stands for continuous focus.

its obvious TS is using a prosumer and hence do not have the AF-S function in his/her camera.

how to shoot?  Huh like this lor?
1. compose picture
2. half press shutter to lock autofocus
3. full press shutter to take picture

i dont think there is any definite style or method to take a picture. it is just developed over time

hmm.. btw af-s stand for Single-servo AF... mainly use on stand-still object

af-c than stand for continous -Servo AF... use on moving or running object...

Base on Nikon DSLR...

no worries, yr cam actually is quite good.. very close to DSLR...  try next time.. set yr Forcusing Mode To Continouse ( if the subject move ard ) or Single Shot Mode ( if subject is a standstill, example : portrait ).. if u dono how.. refer to the user booklet... and Shooting mode to " A " ( Aperture Mode ).. from wat i know.. yr cam allow u to manually positioning of the forcusing point... so next time.. set the forcus point where Teresa Head or Face is... so that the cam can forcus on her face instead of other subject...

lastly.. play with yr cam more, play with diff setting, familiar with yr cam will give u more confident...
