Hi faithful supporters of Teresa!

I was talking to a supporter (whom I should not name) on the MSN when I realized that some of the supporters of Teresa may have some difficulties in understanding the Mandarin used in the Idol Drama article on the I-weekly magazine.

After thinking through, I am taking the initiative to translate some portions of the article into English for the benefit of those supporters who want to know more about Teresa but are unable to do so because of the language barrier. I will skip some portions without Teresa or CSS contestants so as to keep the translation concise and relevant to TFC and idollic.com/teresa Forgive me if the translation is not done up to expectations.

The translation goes as follows:

Chen Feng Ling will be leading a group of Campus Superstars to participate in the first ever TV drama series from the Campus Superstars. Feng Ling will be acting as a fresh university graduate. Full of dreams as the character Yao Yao, she particpates in many Idol competitions, Yao Yao hopes to achieve overnight fame. CSS Overall Champion Ng Chee Yang will be cast as Yao Yao’s younger brother, a less intelligent but honest and honest young student. This will be a challenge to the over-achieving Chee Yang because in real life, he aces in academic studies.

CSS Female Champion Teresa Tseng will be acting her own self, the usual demure and polite girl. Teresa will be starred as a talented but heart-diseased Xin Yu (even the name is so artistic). Renfred Ng will continue his image as Prince Charming and be cast as You Wei, a basketball enthusiast. The two of them are the school’s iconic couple but in the Korean-style melodramatic end, one will perish due to illness while the other will be crippled for life.

A few other Campus Superstars like Khim, Adriano and Alexandro will also be participating in the Idol Drama. However, some of the other Campus Superstars such as Ng Yu Yang and Geraldine See could not participate because of clashes in their school timetables and the filming schedules.

Upon considering the requests of Geraldine See’s supporters, the executive producer has decided to slot in two scenes where Geraldine will be cast as a love rival of a permanent character in the drama.

MediaCorp hopes to churn out the soundtrack for the Idol Drama by this year’s Christmas and it will contain six songs recordings and this will be by far one of the most ambitious soundtracks for MediaCorp’s drama series because it has the most number of songs. Ng Chee Yang will be singing the main title song Da Qi and he will be singing a duet song with Teresa Tseng titled as Shou Bu Chu De Lang Man. The top four CSS contestants will also be singing a group song titled Ze Jiu Shi Wo Men.

Ying Huo Chong De Mong will be televised on 16th January 2007, Monday to Friday at 7pm.

"Music clears the mind, fills the heart, moves the soul." Nobody said it's easy, but it can be done. Who has already done so? Teresa Tseng.
