Hi faithful supporters of Teresa~

Below is my reply in teresatseng.com fanclub. Any ideas from supporters in idollic.com/teresa/?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Re: Teresa's B'day

Hi Jinfu and faithful supporters of Teresa!

1) Methinks weekends are the best too. After all, not just about the
supporters who are working. Teresa and a number of supporters here are
students whose school schedules on weekdays can be tight too.

2) Event via invitation is, of couse, far easier to manage in terms of
attendance and funding, but that will mean we'll have to confirm
attendance of the event as early as now. Assuming the event is on 21 Sep
2006 (a Saturday), count me in first. =P

3) I disagree with Jinfu on this part. It's also partly up to Teresa on
the scale of event because it's her birthday celebration and it's also
up to her comfort level with all the meeting-up as well. Haha...No need
to panic..I mentioned stage, sound and lighting but only for big scale
events. Personally, I was thinking of a more casual form of gathering.
Not so formal with the technical works because it's her birthday.
Leaning more towards comfort and fun so Teresa can have an enjoyable
celebration.

3a) I prefer Chalets to BBQs because the former have indoor facilities
and areas lest the weather turns undesirable. However, with less than a
month away, and even though Oct is not a prime booking period, booking
of chalets must be done as early as possible due to booking regulations
for some chalets.

3b) East Coast Park is a nice, casual, open (though weather can be a
wild card) area for a gathering. It's nearer Teresa's residence and
definitely a competitive option. Jinfu's logistics concern can be
circumvented if we can prepare early, even using a nearby supporter's
place as a base, and scale the event to manageable portions/segments.

3c) K-box for KTV Party. A very convenient option because it's indoors
(away from prying media eyes), with room service (birthday celebration
logistics can be cut to the minimal), and an avenue for Teresa to enjoy
herself on the mic (with all of us enjoying her singing as well).
However, space constraint will be a problem if the number of
enthusiastic attendees exceed the capacity of the karaoke rooms.

3d) Hotel function rooms are a big no-no to me because my previous event
experiences with them have lots of problems with hotel regulations and
complaints from hotel guests about volume. Moreoever, with the IMF thing
going on, security from many hotels are water-tight and will prove more
of an inconvenience, no matter how luxurious the facilities and services
are. It also entails a high cost which may deter some of the student
supporters here who may not have deep pockets.

3e) Cafes and restaurants. It's actually a viable idea if one can
negotiate for a mid-scale birthday celebration for our Campus Superstar.
However, this option may clash with a weekend event date because
weekends are prime business days for cafes and restaurants, meaning more
reluctance from owners and subsequently higher charges for the space
provided.

Just my two-cents worth. Haha...any more ideas from anyone?

Hi gaara_undead and faithful supporters of Teresa!

Nothing is confirmed yet. So far, Teresa has not given her thoughts to it yetbut we are hoping that if there is enough supporters throwing in good ideas, it will be a good bid to get Teresa to agree to join us.

Don't worry about the budget. A number of supporters are working so it's possible to foot the bill if the student supporters can't come up with all of their share.

This will be Teresa's first birthday as our Campus Superstar and we are hoping it can pull through. Let's keep the ideas/contributions flowing and our fingers crossed.

Hi gaara_undead and faithful supporters of Teresa!

Nothing is confirmed yet because teresatseng.com fanclub has yet received any permission from Teresa herself yet.

There are several posts about suggestions and ideas for her birthday but I am hoping to merge the brainstorming with the 300+ members in this forum as well.

Any ideas or suggestions? Who has any expertise that we can tap for the event if it pulls through?

Hi gaara_undead and faithful supporters of Teresa~

Surprise party? Won't be easy because it's quite close to their sec 2 examinations so it will take more coordination that they may possibly want to.

Also, it's all over the place at teresatseng.com fanclub so don't think it can be covered as a surprise party anymore.

Keep the ideas coming though...and our fingers crossed.

Hi jolyn and faithful supporters of Teresa!

Haha...don't worry. If I am the person to organize the K-box event, I will find some way to negotiate with the K-box management people if there is really such an age limit to K-box. Mostly importantly is what Teresa has to say about all the posts and suggestions in teresatseng.com right now.

Hi AISITALE and faithful supporters of Teresa!

So far, no news from Teresa yet about the birthday celebration. The planning can only continue if she gives the okay for the event. Will keep all the supporters updated about the developments of the birthday celebration.
